In rememberance of Ashley Louise Evans-I didn't know her personally but members of my family did and speak highly of her:-
A teenager who was knocked off her mountain bike outside her Shropshire home on her 17th birthday has died in hospital almost a month after the accident.
Ashley Louise Evans, from Prees Green, near Whitchurch, died on September 4th.
Police today renewed their appeal for anyone who saw the collision or the circumstances leading up to it to get in touch.
Richard Ewels, police spokesman, said Ashley’s Huffy Stalker mountain bike had been in collision with a red Renault Clio car which was travelling along the A49. Ashley was airlifted to hospital.
Mr Ewels said the coroner for mid and north Shropshire, Mr John Ellery, had been informed and an inquest had been opened and adjourned.
He said: “She died on September 4 at the county general hospital in Stoke.
“The post mortem examination was held on September 5 and the inquest was opened on Monday by the coroner for mid and north Shropshire Mr John Ellery at his office in Shrewsbury.
It was opened for identification purposes and then adjourned to a future date.
“This collision, when she was riding her bike, happened shortly after 7pm on August 11 on the A49 at Prees Green, near Whitchurch.
“It was a mountain bike that was in collision with a red Renault Clio which was travelling northwards along the A49 towards Whitchurch at the time.”
Anyone who saw the collision or the circumstances leading up to it should call the police on 08457 444888.
Ashley’s parents have paid tribute to a girl who “loved life and smiled all the time.”Mark and Julie Evans said their daughter had lots of friends and was well known in Prees Green.
Today, her parents said they have received 70 condolence cards from Ashley’s friends, teachers and workmates.
Her father, Mark, 38, said Ashley had studied hard for a qualification in health and social care, and was due to start studying for A-levels in psychology and sociology as well as a catering qualification this term.
He said when she was not studying or working for Colour Supplies in Whitchurch, she spent time at home with her three younger brothers, George, five, Bradley, 12 and Jake, 14, and wanted to pursue a career with disabled children.
“She was a giver, and she’d give anything. She loved life, she smiled all the time. She was friends with everyone, and she never had an enemy,” said Mr Evans.
He and Ashley had bought a lookalike Mini Cooper for her 17th birthday, and her provisional driving licence had arrived in the post a few days after her accident.
Mr Evans thanked the community for their support while Ashley was in hospital and after her death.
A private cremation will be held for Ashley on Friday, followed by an open service at St Chad’s in Prees at 11.30am. Donations will go to the Air Ambulance, the Community First Responders and the Severn Dale School in Shrewsbury.
Waiting at the Door
I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand
It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops
But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled
I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door

R.I.P Ashh Babe.
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
And whispered “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Laying loving hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
God truly did want the best angel and thats what hes got now.
Ash, Your missed by loads but we know your at rest now. sleep tight gorgous. LoveYouu

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.
I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.
If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.
I'll always be your baby,
Your child (grandchild), wife, husband,
Mother, father,sister, brother
your best friend.
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.
